Best Indian Wedding Vendors Melbourne: Trusted Guide 2026

The hardest part of planning an Indian wedding in Melbourne is not the budget or the guest list. It is that every category, the DJ, the decorator, the mehndi artist, the venue, has dozens of options, and you have no way of knowing who actually delivers on the day until it is too late to change. One weak vendor can drag down a celebration that everyone else worked months to build.

After 7 years and more than 150 Indian weddings across Melbourne, we have worked alongside a lot of vendors. Some extraordinary, some not. The ones on this list are the ones we genuinely recommend, vendors whose work we respect and whose professionalism we have seen firsthand or can vouch for through their reputation in Melbourne’s Indian wedding community.

This is not a paid directory. Nobody on this list has paid to be here. These are real recommendations from a team that has stood next to these vendors on a hundred and fifty wedding days and seen what good looks like.

Wedding Venues

From behind the camera, your venue decides more about your photos than any other vendor: the ceiling height, the pillars, the light, the backdrop behind your stage. These four understand Indian weddings specifically.

Ultima Function Centre, Keilor Park

One of Melbourne’s most established Indian wedding venues with over 30 years of experience. Two ballrooms, the MEC Ballroom for up to 600 guests and the Pearl Ballroom for up to 300. Specifically experienced with Sikh, Hindu and multicultural ceremonies, mandap setups and large multi-day events.

Location: Keilor Park, convenient for Melbourne’s western and north-western suburbs

Manor on High, Epping

Three ballrooms on a five-acre estate, accommodating 80 to 650 guests. The pillarless Grand Ballroom is one of the best spaces in Melbourne for large Indian receptions, no columns blocking sightlines or photography angles, which matters more than most couples realise until they see photos from a pillared room. Over 30 years of experience with South Asian weddings.

Fleur Event Centre, Fawkner

A beautiful floral-themed venue with three event spaces accommodating up to 400 guests, experienced with Indian and South Asian weddings. 130 onsite parking bays and a day-to-evening transition that works well for multi-event Indian wedding formats.

Location: Fawkner, easy access from the northern suburbs

Pearl Venue, Melbourne

A luxury wedding and event venue accommodating up to 400 guests, with high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, white gloss floors, vine-adorned archways, marble and fountains. A visually striking space that photographs beautifully and suits couples wanting a grand, contemporary reception.

Wedding Decorators

Your decorator and your photographer are a team whether they know it or not. The backdrop colours, the mandap structure, the stage lighting, all of it ends up in every frame. Share your outfit colours with your decorator early, and if you want to know why, our Indian wedding reception mistakes guide covers it in depth.

Rav Decors, Pakenham

A Melbourne-based event decoration team specialising in making events memorable, based in Pakenham in Melbourne’s south-east and servicing all of Melbourne for weddings, birthdays and special events.

White Tulip Events, Endeavour Hills

A couple-founded Melbourne styling company specialising in South Asian weddings, covering the full celebration journey: engagements, Mehndi, Haldi, bridal showers, weddings and Walimahs. Known for thoughtful, personalised decoration that reflects each couple’s story rather than a generic template, across both ballroom and outdoor garden settings.

Mehndi Artists

Bridal mehndi is one of the most photographed details of the whole wedding, the close-ups of hands over the lehenga, the ring shots, the Choora ceremony. Intricate, well-applied henna photographs beautifully for days afterwards.

Henna by Irfah, Fathima Imthiyaz

A Melbourne-based bridal and party henna artist using natural organic henna only. Fathima has built a strong following in Melbourne’s South Asian wedding community with intricate bridal designs and a warm, professional approach.

Ritesh Mehndi, Ritesh Gajadar

One of Melbourne’s most sought-after henna artists, with a distinctive, highly detailed style. Ritesh travels interstate and internationally for bookings, which tells you everything about the demand for his work. If you want intricate, artistic mehndi that photographs beautifully, Ritesh is consistently one of the top recommendations in Melbourne.

Hair and Makeup Artists

From a camera’s point of view, great bridal makeup is makeup built for photographs: skin that reads clean in close-up, tones that hold under reception lighting, a look that lasts from a 6am start to the last dance. All three of these artists understand South Asian bridal looks at that level.

Lajeen Artistry, Haffsah Bilal

One of Melbourne’s most established South Asian bridal hair and makeup teams. Haffsah founded Lajeen Artistry over 15 years ago, trained with MAC in Paris and Napoleon Perdis in Melbourne, leads a team of six qualified artists and runs Lajeen Academy. A premium choice for brides who want an experienced, culturally fluent team, with interstate and international travel available.

Harpreet Pannu HMUA

A luxury bridal makeup artist and hairstylist based in Tarneit, specialising in Sikh, Nikah and Indian weddings. With over 100 brides and a 5-star Google rating, Harpreet has a strong reputation in Melbourne’s Punjabi and South Asian bridal community, known for skin-first, clean, timeless looks that photograph beautifully without feeling heavy. Wedding Outfits

Your outfit is the single most photographed thing at your wedding. It is in every frame, under every light, from the getting-ready close-ups to the last dance, so where you source it matters as much as any vendor on this list.

Intrend Fashion by Sukhjit Kaur, Melbourne

One of Melbourne’s most celebrated names in Indian bridal and ethnic fashion. Founded by Sukhjit Kaur in 2015, Intrend Fashion has boutiques in both Melbourne and Mohali, and has dressed Bollywood and Pollywood names including Neeru Bajwa, Kaur B and Baani Sandhu at the Melbourne Fashion Festival. The collection runs from traditional bridal lehengas to contemporary ethnic wear for every event of the wedding week, which means you can build looks for the Mehndi, the ceremony and the reception under one roof.

Dhol Players

The Baraat lives and dies on the dhol. When the dhol is right, the whole street becomes the celebration, and that energy is exactly what ends up in your film.

Sartaj Singh Dholi

Melbourne’s most in-demand dhol player for Indian weddings, with a family background in music going back generations. Sartaj has been playing since age 10 and brings authentic energy to Baraats, Sangeet nights, Mehndi events, Jaggo and receptions. Experienced, punctual and consistently praised by couples for the atmosphere he creates, the kind that gets every generation on the dance floor.

DJs

We have said it before in our reception guide and it is worth repeating: the DJ shapes the energy of your entire night, and the camera captures that energy as faithfully as it captures the outfits. These three genuinely understand the Indian wedding dance floor.

DJ Sandy, Melbourne

Originally from India and now Melbourne-based, DJ Sandy brings over 16 years of experience to Indian and South Asian weddings. His signature is combining DJ performance with live percussion, a layer of energy a standard setup simply does not have. Has performed for Bollywood celebrities and international events, and also offers lighting, LED screens and a 360 photo booth as part of a full event service.

DJ Karan, Melbourne

A Note on Booking These Vendors

Every vendor on this list books up. Melbourne’s peak seasons, April to May and October to November, fill fast, and the best vendors in each category are often booked 6 to 12 months in advance. If someone here resonates with you, reach out early. A quick enquiry to hold a date costs nothing and saves you scrambling later.

Contact details do change, so treat the phone numbers and emails above as a starting point and confirm through each vendor’s Instagram or website when you enquire.

And if you want a second opinion on how any of these vendors fit together from a photography and videography perspective, what to brief your decorator on, how to time the dhol for the Baraat, how to coordinate the DJ with your reception entrance, that is a conversation we have with our couples all the time and we are happy to have it with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far in advance should we book our vendors?
For peak season, 6 to 12 months for the venue, DJ and decorator, and at least 6 months for in-demand hair and makeup artists and mehndi artists. Photographers and videographers book similarly far out, often further.

Do you get paid to recommend these vendors?
No. Nobody on this list has paid anything. These are vendors we have worked alongside or whose reputation in Melbourne’s Indian wedding community we trust.

What if we already booked someone not on this list?
That is completely fine, this list is far from exhaustive and Melbourne has many excellent vendors. If you want a photographer’s read on how your booked vendors affect your coverage, ask us.

Can you help us coordinate our vendors on the day?
Coordination is your MC and planner’s job, but we always brief with your DJ, decorator and MC before the day so the key moments, entrances, first dance, cake, are timed for the cameras. It is part of how we work.

Do these vendors travel to Sydney?
Several do, especially the hair and makeup artists and mehndi artists. Ask each directly, and if you are planning a Sydney wedding, we cover both cities and can point you to Sydney equivalents too.
